WHERE SALT AND FRESHWATER MEET - THE ESTUARY ENVIRONMENT
Ile de Bréhat, Loguivy-de-la-mer, Penhoat-Lancerf forset, Pontrieux, a walk along the Trieux estuary is a voyage of discovery.
After the mouth of the estuary with its maritime landscapes, the country changes along the steep banks: cliffs, pine forests, moors and bays where migratory birds come to land.
As the river narrows, the vegetation becomes denser, the banks reveal the secret harbour of Lézardrieux, the forest of Penhoat-Lancerf and the Estuary House, Château de la Roche Jagu and Pontrieux with its old washing houses.
