Perched high in the village of Ploubazlanec, on a little square overlooking the sea, you’ll find this charming 18th century granite building. Each room is meticulously decorated with a judicious mixture of wood, wrought iron, ivory-white furniture and beautiful coloured fabrics. Some have a balcony and a stunning view of the sea. After a good night’s sleep and a superb breakfast it’s time to take in a little local history. On leaving the hotel you can’t miss the mur des disparus en mer, a memorial wall for those lost at sea. This commemorates fishermen who left for the waters around Iceland to trawl for cod, but never returned. From there you can set off to explore the other cultural and natural sites in the neighbourhood.
